Uriah Heep의 명반 Look At Yourself 에 실린 "July Morning"는 Uriah Heep의 최고의 명곡으로 불리우는 곡이다.
브리티시 하드락의 전설로까지 불리우는 Uriah Heep은 Deep Purple과 함께 하드락에서 키보드가 두각을 나타내는 보기드문 형태의 밴드로서 기타 리프를 능가하는 화려한 키보드 연주를 선보인다. 물론 음악적 완성도의 비교와는 상관없이Deep Purple이 가진 명성을 얻지도 평가를 받지도 못했지만 말이다.
가진 능력과 음악적 재능에 비해서는 야박한 평가를 받은 그들이지만 "July Morning"만큼은 우리나라에서 30년이 지난 지금까지도우리들의 귀를 붙들어 놓고 있다.Look At Yourself에 수록된 또 다른곡 - "Shadow Of Grief", "What Shoud Be Done" - 들 또한 브리티시 하드락의 새로운 모습을 보여주고 있지만 "July Morning" 덕에빛을 발하지 못했다는 생각이 드는 것은 괜한 오해는 아닐 것 같다.
